We are moving south...

A lot of you already know, but for those of you who don't, James got a new assignment to Dyess Afb, in Abilene, Texas. He will be an instructor at the B-1 school down there. We only have about a week left in our house at Ellsworth Afb. I have mixed feelings about the move, but I'm sure it will be a good experience for our family over all. To let you know why my feelings are mixed I decided to make a pro's and con's list.
Pro's
*It is warmer down there! Around 70 right now!
*There will be a break from all the wind in Rapid City.
*We get to purchase a home of our own!!!
*We will have children born in three different states.
*James will not deploy for a couple of years.
Con's
* I have to move at 7 months pregnant. :0(
*Find all new doctors.
* I will miss all of my awesome friends in Rapid City.
*I will have to make new friends, I can be really shy so it might take awhile.
*No mountains or hills to play in.
*Interupting school for the boys, yet again.
There are many more, but those are just a few of the things that I have been thinking about lately. I'm hoping that this move will go smoothly. We are having the Air Force pack us and move us and I've hired someone to clean this house. We are taking our time getting down there too. We are going the "long" way to get there. We are going to stop in Utah to visit with some friends there for a little while and then drive out to Texas.

Yay for warmer weather and no deployements! That is sad though to have to move while you're pregnant and get new doctors. Good luck with everything!

The no deployments is awesome!! The warmer weather is okay, but don't they need instructors here? I hate to see you go, because I finally felt like we were getting around to getting to know you. We wish you the best of luck in Texas, and as far as moving pregnant, it isn't so bad. And the baby still comes out okay! HAHA! Have a safe journey! Blog more often so we can see how things are going in your world!

I think Texas sounds pretty good about now! Warm weather... My only advice moving very pregnant - get someone to clean the new house too (before you move in) I have yet to clean some of the old people dirt because I just couldn't move, had no energy, was very pathetic... now it's become our dirt so it doesn't count anymore. LOL

Good luck! That is wonderful that you will have your hubby for a while. The weather down here is pretty awesome - major pro! I'm glad that you are taking the easy route and hiring people to do all of that for you because it is so worth it.

I will miss you more than you know! :( My number one least favorite thing about our ward is having to say goodbye to so many wonderful people. It never gets easier. You will be missed!!!! I am happy for you, and totally jealous at the same time, that you are moving some where that is so warm.

I second TeraLyn's request for more blogging so that we can keep up with you and your cute family! :)

ANd I know how you feel. Way more cons than pros. But you are good at friending and will make tons in texas! And thank goodness for military packing and merry maids!
