Murder Mystery Dinner Party

James and I recently hosted a Murder Mystery Dinner Party at our house. We had a three course formal italian dinner. It was so fun to have an excuse to use our china and get together with good friends. We had a great time and we enjoyed acting out our parts and solving a mystery.

Don't worry, James didn't really become a priest. He did do a great job of playing the part of Father Alfredo. He ironed the lapel of one of his suit coats up and I pinned in a piece of white cardstock to complete his costume. He looked great and was very convincing as a priest.

I played Mama Rosa, the hostess. The object of the night was to solve the murder of my character's husband, Pepi Roni. I had it pretty easy in the costume department. All I had to do was wear black.

We invited our new friends from across the street to join us. Caroline played my character's best friend, Clair Voyant. Clair is a gypsy-type astrologer. Her husband, Byron, played my son Marco Roni. Marco's one dream is to play soccer professionally.

We also had Joseph and Sarah Sheffield over. Joseph played the part of my dead husband's twin brother, Rocco. He is an italian mob-type person. Sarah played the part of Rocco's fiance, Tara Misu.

Scott and Amanda McLaws also were able to come. Amanda played the part of Angel, Mama Rosa's daughter. Scott played the part of Angel's boyfriend, Beau Jalais. Beau is a French wine maker that also works for Rocco.
We had a great time and enjoyed each other's bad italian accents!
